Shambles, York
A lot of great places to visit in the United Kingdom (UK). Aside from London, Bath, Manchester, Liverpool, Whitby, and Edinburgh...YORK City at Northern Yorkshire should definitely be on your list when you visit the UK! From Liverpool, I traveled to York. York City is such an amazing city. The moment I arrived, I knew I will fall in love with this city.
In York, I stayed in one of the 3-star hotels for 6 days 5 nights that only cost around £50 per room per night for a single room, where it's just 15 minutes walk from the town. York has a lot of amazing places to visit...from York Minster to Shambles to York City Walls to St. Mary's Abbey to Yorkshire Museum Garden. So, here's my Top 15 Most Amazing Places to Visit and Things to Love in York!

The Ouse Bridge is the most central of the three bridges in the centre of York, and connects the two main shopping and tourist areas of the city.

One of the busiest streets in York, where a lot of shops, restaurants you can find, and most famous for the clock overhanging York's main shopping street.

The Red House Antiques Centre is an amalgamation of some 50 independent antique dealers located in one of York’s historic houses. The Red House itself was constructed in 1700 for Sir William Robinson, Lord Mayor of York as a townhouse. It’s a Grade 2 listed building within a stone’s throw from the Minster and an easy walk from the York Railway station

One of the spots that I love to see every day when I was here. This view from the riverside of City Screen York is amazing! This cinema is actually with a cafe/bar and tapas restaurant, live music, and comedy in the basement.
7. York City of Walls
As the stories say...since Roman times, these walls become their form of defense of one form or another. 3.4 kilometers preserved wall in York that serves as one of the most tourist spots in York. Definitely a must-visit in York.
8. Yorkshire Museum Garden
The Botanic Garden of in the centre of York beside the River Ouse, where St. Mary's Abbey and Yorkshire Museum can be found. A lot of people come here just to relax and hang out and definitely a must-visit in York.
9. Yorkshire Museum
The Yorkshire Museum is home to the Cawood sword, and has four permanent collections, covering biology, geology, archaeology, and astronomy, and has an entrance fee of £7.50 for a Day Tour Pass.
10. St. Mary's Abbey York
The Abbey of St. Mary is a ruined Benedictine abbey in York, England, and considered a Grade I listed building. And, if you watched the Harry Potter Movie, definitely you will remember this.

15. Mannion & Co. Kitchen
One of the best sandwiches I tasted here. Among all the restaurants & cafes that I tried in York, this is actually my favorite!
