Ultimate Travel Guide in London: How Much It Costs To Travel in London?

London, one of the most prestigious travel destinations in the world! But, if you are wondering "How much to travel here"? "How much is the daily expenses"? Well, I will tell you first, the reality is..."To Travel in London is not cheap", but I'm sure that London will give you one of the most memorable trips ever!  And, if you are a traveler like me...who loves to enjoy local foods, a fan of exquisite & luxury hotels, love to explore the best of free attractions and museums. Definitely, you have to put London on your Bucket list!

Tower Bridge of London

To start with...Where will you want to stay? What kind of Traveler are you (Frugal, Budget, or Luxury)? So, here are the hotels that I can recommend where I all stayed for 3 days 2 nights until I moved to one apartment in Central London!

How much to stay in London?

How much is the food in London?

In Central London...£10 (Php680) is actually the cost per meal when you are eating in an ordinary or cheap restaurant (without drinks). As I stayed in the UK  during my Business trip, £30 (Php2,100) would actually be enough per day; especially if your breakfast is complimentary in the hotel.

£30 per day
(For example)

Breakfast
£10- Full English Breakfast with Coffee at Cafe du Coin in Earl's Court
Lunch
£10- Fish & Chips at All Bar One in Regent Street
Dinner
£10- Dinner at Misato Japanese restaurant in Chinatown

Remember when you travel..." Trying local food is actually one of the best things you must-do or consider when visiting a new country". In London, I really suggest you should have a fine-dining experience as well as afternoon tea.

How much it cost to experience London?

From different free museums to beautiful parks to amazing churches to their prestige Buckingham Palace...London has it all! However, not every attraction in London is free so, below are some with entrance fees.

Tower of London: £22
London Eye: £21.50
St. Paul's Cathedral: £16.50
Buckingham Palace: £P9.75
Westminster Abbey: £18
British Museum: Free
Victoria and Albert Museum: Free
National Gallery: Free
Imperial War Museum: Free
Tate Modern: Free
Natural History Museum: Free

How much it cost the Transportation?

As soon as you arrive, you simply get an Oyster Card. It cost £33 (Php2,300.00) - Unlimited Ride for bus and train ( Zone 1 and 2 or Central London ) for 1 week.  However, there is also a 1-Day Travel Oyster Card for Unlimited journeys by Bus for £10 (Php680) only.

Fyi. A single one-way ticket for the train will cost you £4.90 and you cannot ride a bus without an Oyster Card.

How much it cost the Flight?

I seriously think that getting or booking a flight really depends...1. Location or where you from? 2. How long/near is your flight? However, during my trip, I flew to London from Manila via Cathay Pacific Airways and it cost US$1,000.00 (Php50K) for a 2-way trip.
