The spacious villas are equipped with a flat-screen TV, iPod dock, and an Illy espresso machine. The en suite marble bathroom has a bathtub.
Viceroy Bali is an hour's drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Alternatively, guests can opt for a 12-minute helicopter ride from the property's private helipad. Lembah Spa provides a variety body treatments where guests can enjoy a 20% discount. The gym offers private yoga classes and free energy drinks. The library is stocked with books and DVDs. The award-winning CasCades Restaurant serves French specialities with Asian influences. CasCades also offers an extensive wine list, while cocktails are available at Viceroy Bar. Also, with newly opened European restaurant, Aperitif Restaurant & Bar just this month of November 2018. Upon arrival, an amazingly warm welcome extended to me, and only after a 10-minute check-in process, I was escorted to the villa with the Buggy service.

In the afternoon, I didn't miss out to have a 2-hour Treatment at Lembah Spa and again, it was so amazing! Treatments here have been meticulously developed combining Western knowledge with traditional, time-honored Balinese wellness techniques handed down over centuries. In fact, the name Ubud for where Viceroy Bali is located originates from the Balinese word "obat" which literally means "herb" or "medicine". If this highland region is the centre of healing then Lembah is at its heart with unique traditions in health and healing that have given Ubud a reputation amongst spa practitioners worldwide.
In the evening, I had a fantastic 8-course fine dining experience at Apéritif Restaurant & Bar that I can say one of the best fine-dining experiences that I had. Set amid Ubud’s lush jungle valley setting, Apéritif offers an alternative and unique fine-dining experience in Bali. Housed in an elegant, spacious standalone building overlooking the verdant jungle landscape, the 1920s-inspired restaurant offers a sophisticated degustation menu that is representative of the culinary team—led by Executive Chef Nic Vanderbeeken— and their respect for ingredients. The menu explores the world by way of the Indonesian archipelago; an eclectic journey of global gastronomy with the added influences of the old Spice Islands. It couples high-grade produce sourced globally, locally, and from the Apéritif greenhouse with the finesse of Modern European culinary techniques. This luxurious tropical haven is also home to Apéritif Bar, where guests are encouraged to enjoy pre-dinner and fancy cocktails in an atmosphere that is reminiscent of the Roaring Twenties.

The next day, I had an amazing breakfast at Cascades Restaurant! CasCades restaurant is a must for those wanting to enjoy a fine dining experience in a spectacular jungle setting. Located 5 minutes drive from the centre of Ubud, CasCades is within Viceroy Bali hotel, perched on a ridge overlooking Bali's luscious Valley of the Kings. The exceptional food and wine, along with the views, make this the ideal spot for a long lunch or special dinner. Owned and managed by an Australian family, CasCades is a fine dining restaurant that sources the best produce from around the globe, complemented by local organic vegetables.
