"Marina Bay Sands", a Landmark Travel Destination in Singapore!

"Do not leave Singapore without visiting Marina Bay Sands"...as I always say every time my friends would ask me about traveling to Singapore!

Marina Bay Sands, an amazing integrated resort fronting Marina Bay in Singapore. At its opening in 2010, it was billed as the world's most expensive standalone casino property at S$8 billion, including the land cost. The complex is topped by a 340-metre-long (1,120 ft) SkyPark with a capacity of 3,900 people and a 150 m (490 ft) infinity swimming pool, set on top of the world's largest public cantilevered platform, which overhangs the north tower by 67 m (220 ft). The 20-hectare resort was designed by Moshe Safdie architects (wikipedia)

Before I arrived in Marina Bay Sands, I made a reservation with their newly revamped restaurant, RISE Restaurant for my buffet dinner.  Marina Bay Sands' international buffet restaurant, RISE has re-opened after an extensive transformation, featuring refreshed interior decor along with a brand new culinary offering that includes sustainably, sourced produce and themed nights. Also, I went to Sands SkyPark Observation Deck on the 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands, where the highest view of Singapore's city view you can see in Singapore. Sands SkyPark Observation Deck entrance fee is S$23 (USD$17) only and during my visit, luckily the weather is quite good.

The most famous infinity pool in Singapore!

Access to the Garden and Infinity Pool is for hotel guests only

After an hour of chillaxing at Sands SkyPark Observation Deck, I went to try their buffet dinner in RISE Restaurant located on the ground floor. Marina Bay Sands' international buffet restaurant, Rise Restaurant re-opened in July this year, with an extensive transformation, featuring refreshed interior decor along with a brand of a new culinary offering that includes sustainably, sourced produce and themed nights

RISE Restaurant has eight open-concept kitchens and with 7 themed nights a week, every night is a sumptuous surprise that will bring diners on a journey through global cuisines, before paying homage to Singapore's heritage through timeless classics. "Live" cooking stations from pasta counters to meat carving areas will spice up the dining experience, while the bar offers a large selection of wines (including organic varieties, cocktails, and juices. A new "live" grill station has been added to dinner service every night. The buffet dinner costs S$80+ (USD$60) and during my visit on Friday, the theme was European theme.

Amazing Refreshed Interior of RISE Restaurant

Taking inspiration from Rising Forest, an art of installation of potted trees by renowned sculptor Zheng Chongbin that line the hotel atrium. RISE now bears a new colour palette reflecting nature. The 400 seat establishment's interior has taken on hues of emerald blue, jade green, light ash timber and a touch of elegance with bronze. The soothing tones and contemporary interior offer a warm ambiance that blends seamlessly with the canopy of giant indoor trees housed in stoneware ceramic vases. The interior, furniture, and accessories are designed in flowing and curvilinear forms using natural materials. An undulating timber screen, inspired by flowing rivers, is created to give privacy to guests. Hand made tiles on the buffet counters facade are a reference to the rattan weaving techniques that pays homage to Southeast Asian culture. Dark stained sustainable bamboo flooring is also used to depict earth and nature, while sculptural lighting around the restaurant resembles the shapes of trees and branches.

The revamped RISE also goes big on the sustainability theme RISE also goes big on the sustainability theme. Ingredients are sourced from responsible farmers locally and in the region; while recycled or sustainable maters are used for everything from placemats to table settings. All glass, paper, cardboard and plastic materials will be recycled, and food waste collected and broken down into wastewater, minimizing the amount of solid waste that goes into landfills. Trimmings of the herbs from the Herb Garden are reused as centerpieces in the dining room in place of flowers ensuring nothing goes to waste.

RISE Restaurant actually has an amazing RISE Herb Garden at the back of their restaurant where over 50 herbs, has inspired creations of cocktails and mocktails at the enhanced Bar. A brand new soda station, complimentary for guests, allows guests to create their own sodas using fresh herbs such as rosemary and thyme, pairing them with fresh fruits, juices, and homemade syrups.
