"Six Senses Con Dao", Absolutely One of the Most Amazing Resorts in Asia!

It was in 2014...after I watched the Travel Channel that I started to dream of Six Senses Con Dao in Vietnam. Since then...I made a  promise to myself that someday I will visit this beautiful and exclusive island luxury resort of Six Senses Con Dao Resort (where Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt stayed in 2011 for 5 days) .

It was last week that I spent 3 days/2 nights at this exclusive resort  Six Senses Con Dao.  Six Senses Con Dao is delightfully remote, which presents elegantly designed modern accommodations with generous personal space, lush tropical mangrove vegetation, and breathtaking views out to sea. Each villa comes with its own private infinity pool and unobstructed water vistas.  Six Senses Con Dao, the first five-star resort in the archipelago islands, is contemporary in design and reflects the essence of a traditional fishing village. Passionate about supporting and protecting the environment, Six Senses Con Dao’s demonstrated commitment to sustainability has been recognized as one of the world’s top eco-lodges by National Geographic Traveler.  

Con Son Island, home of Six Senses Con Dao, is 230 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City (SGN). It is a 45-minute flight to Co Ong Airport (VCS), then a 10-minute transfer to the resort.  From Singapore, my friend and I had flown to Ho Chi Minh City and to Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao Island via Vietnam Airlines, which cost USD$210 (Php10K) for 2-way transfers. And, after a 45-minute flight, we finally arrived at Con Dao Island.

After a 10-minute drive from the airport, we finally arrived at Six Senses Con Dao and were warmly welcomed by their staff.

Only after 15 minutes, we were ready for check-in. And, among their nicest villas & suites, it was their Ocean View Duplex  Pool Villa, that cost USD$842 per room per night we had stayed. 

Ocean View Duplex Pool Villa is a very spacious two-level villa with one bedroom, which is located on the upper floor with magnificent ocean views plus an ensuite bathroom.  There is also a large open plan bathroom on the ground floor with double vanity basins, bathtub, and outdoor shower. The private infinity-edged swimming pool has a terrace with sun loungers. You'll find all the technology you need, such as satellite TV, DVD, Bose sound system and an iPod docking station.

The next day,  I woke up early in the morning at 8am, to do Yoga. With the great view from the Yoga Pavilion and with an excellent Hatha Yoga and Wellness Instructor, Dr. Aneesh,  it was truly an amazing experience.

After an hour of Yoga, we had a wonderful breakfast buffet at By The Beach Restaurant and the view from the restaurant is absolutely amazing!!! Their breakfast buffet is open from 7am to 10am.

In the afternoon, we explored the town of Con Dao Island by Vespa  and local life is indeed very simple in this lovely island.

In the evening, I had a nice walk at the beach and an amazing dinner at the Vietnamese Market Restaurant and had some lovely ice cream at Deli'cious by the Market Restaurant.

The next morning, the last day, I woke up at 6am in morning to bike this beautiful island and catch the sunrise, and my walk at the beach of Six Senses Con Dao is absolutely one of my amazing experiences in my travel journey...never felt so peaceful and tranquil in one place.

Six Senses Con Dao is only a 10-minute drive from the airport, we had nothing to worry about the traffic or anything  (Luckily, the villa we had stayed in was available up to 3pm). And, after a 45-minute flight from Con Dao Island, we arrived at Ho Chi Minh Airport. 

Then, we spent one night at Park Royal Hotel Saigon, which is only a 10-minute drive from the airport, to catch a flight the next day going back to Singapore. 

After 3 days 2 nights stay at  Six Senses Con Dao, I really fell in love with this luxury resort. So, if you are looking for an exclusive, tranquil, and unforgettable resort to stay, "Six Senses Con Dao" is what I highly recommend.
